A Permaculture Community now forming.

Manifesting a Dream

2 yrs ago, we decided, "We should be living like this everyday."

It all became real today.

After two years of wishing, hoping, dreaming, planning and talking and talking and talking...  Today is the day I really felt the full impact of the move that we are making.

I mean, this is REALLY happening!

We are really quitting our jobs, selling our possesions and heading off into the great unknown of the Central American jungle...  In two months!  Everything in our lives since we met has been leading up to this moment.  We'd made the leap of faith, started opening our minds to the possibility of a completely different way of life and started educating ourselves on ways to survive independent of "the system."

Our quest for knowledge led us to urban permaculture farms in Silverlake, desert oasis' in the Mojave and earthbag building villages tucked away behind suburban jungles.  Each step of the journey was like a confirmation from the universe gently urging us on.  Don't turn back now.  Just keep on keepin' on the road that you chose...  The universe, orrrrrr Michael Jackson.  Who's to say, really?

And today...  Today we started searching for land in Costa Rica.  I'd been avoiding this step, because it's the step that requires the one thing we don't have - 100% of the capital.  All my life it seems that cashflow has stood between me and the splendor of my imagination.  But not today.  Today I saw that a dream that seemed completely beyond our reach individually, is more than feasible when we join forces with other earth-keepers.

I started working up the numbers for a Core Collective (7+ dedicated founding members) to see where we really stand financially and to give potential members an idea of what the investment might be:
